When there's a city experiencing record-breaking high temperatures, what's a good investigative journalist to do? Oh yeah, you go to that city.

Phoenix bladers Andrew Scherf and Dan Howard can handle a little heat, so, in the middle of a heat wave, we talk about blading in the town's scorching temps, the levels of awkwardness in podcasting, "Knee High" and other trends in rollerblading.

Adam Bazydlo (a.k.a. Bladezilla) is a hammer drop-rail skater from the South. You may recognize him from his solo sessions on Instagram, the cover of ONE Magazine, or from the new VOD, “Moments in Time.”

Adam came to the Bay Area with his wife, Kaydee, to visit friends. So, naturally, Phil Moore and I had to invade their hotel room. We talk about his skate spot hunting, why he ducked away from his sponsors, and more.

For a long time, rollerblading has deserved a better solution to aggregating blading content besides Rollernews. Daniel Nodzak and Travis Stewart—the moderators of /r/rollerblading on Reddit—bring something new to the table.

The site—bladerunion.com—went live May 1. Travis and Daniel (Hunter Dasten)with me before the launch.

Hailing from Denver, Ian Walker is an avid filmmaker, the king of the Scumpire, and an overall really nice weirdo. Our conversation goes many places, not stopping shy of guns, gimps, and other family-friendly topics. Danny Malm and Taylor Kobryn add to the catastrophe that is this episode.

While none of our episodes to date have been appropriate to do so, this episode—in particular—shouldn’t be played out loud at work or around children. Unless, of course, you work from home and your kid is cool.
