Chad and Brad Anthony hail from Kentucky, but this last year, they were everywhere. From the A-Town Stomp and the Blading Cup to Schmidty’s Ramp and Camp to the Windy City Riot, the Southern Scrum boys put some miles on their Winnebago during their “Born Free Tour.”

Matt Murphy and I were heading to skate and BBQ in St. Helena, so I hooked up the audio gear in my truck and we recorded on our way north.

Along the way, we inevitably talk about politics, comedy, what skating means now versus when we were kids, and so on.

Shredpool is, well, a Ryan Reynolds joke gone too far but handled so well. Shred and Deadpool both stab people for a living and love showing the kids at the skatepark how it’s really done.

On this episode, we talk over Skype about his stockpile in the League of Xsjados, having the same dog, and, of course, the genesis and existence of @project_shredpool on Instagram.

#70: Jason Reyna

Jason Reyna was in Oakland for work, so we took the opportunity to talk about being grown-up grommets, what’s in store for the Forecast trade show, how he manages to be everywhere, and other things. This episode was recorded in his room at the Hilton near the Oakland airport.

Philip Moore and Michael Braud are two southern gentlemen who have been skating and filming together over the last few weeks here in the Bay Area. We talk about Making America Blade Again, 2016 as a whole, and racism in fast food chains, and why pizza is not a vegetable.

Now in it’s fourth year, the OBJ is getting back to the streets this Saturday, starting at Madison Park in Oakland. Right near the Lake Merritt BART station, if you’re in the Bay, there’s no reason to stay away.

Omar, B. Free, and I talk about the comp, a few things that are resting heavily on our hearts, infighting, and other less serious topics.

Aaron grew up in the Bay, but took some prime time off from skating. Now that he’s all in again, he’s been a consistently great homie for a session. Now, he’s heading to Portland.

We talk about why he’s moving up north to Oregon, not missing Bay Area traffic, working at AMall, Trigger skates, and why it’s always important to leave home.

This podcast is made possible thanks to our supporters on Patreon. That includes Trudy, Dustin, Edward, Jose, Nate, Steve, Alexander, Zach, Basti, Jon, Levi, Sean, Brad, and Ivan.
